Aromas of red apple blossom, mulberry, raspberry, and white pepper are complemented by dusty spice and a hint of bay leaf, creating a balanced and restrained bouquet.
Co-fermentation brings layered complexity and a unique tannin structure. The palate is intense yet weightless, with forest berries, black tea, and aniseed. Fine, powdery tannins add length, while balanced acidity delivers a fresh, seamless finish.
The Cabernet vineyards from V&A Lane have long contributed depth and character to Wynns’ top wines. The V&A Lane Cabernet Shiraz is inspired by Wynns’ 1950s ‘claret style,’ where the focus was on taste rather than strict blending ratios. In this modern take, both grape varieties are picked on the same day and co-fermented.
V&A Lane wines aim to offer a fresh, distinctive style of Cabernet and Shiraz. Early harvesting, wild fermentation, lower alcohol levels, and maturation in large oak barrels create vibrant, food-friendly wines with bright red fruit flavors.
