Grape Varietal:
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot
Tasting Notes:
Glistening colour combined with an elegant and fine nose. Aerating the wine displays a large spectrum of aromas: black fruits, nougatine, and grilled notes. Fleshy and supple on the palate with a lingering finish.
Vineyard:
The vineyard is located partly in the northern part of CISSAC and partly on the plateau of VERTHEUIL. Topsoil consisting of clayey gravels resting on clayey subsoil.
Vinification:
Our goal is to approach the perfect balance between finesse and power. We adapt our practices at every vintages in order to respond in the best possible manner to the « vintage effects ». Two pumping over are realized every day to extract softly the color and the tannins. Macerations last between 4 to 5 weeks approximately. Eric Boissenot is the winemaker consultant for several decades.
Aging:
12-months. In order to clarify and oxygenate the wine, the racking process is repeated several times during aging depending on the tasting results.
