REGION:
Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills.
GRAPE VARIETY:
Cabernet Sauvignon.
TASTING NOTES:
A bold, full-bodied wine known for its deep purple color and intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum. It exhibits a rich, textured mouthfeel with flavors of dark cherry, bitter chocolate, and elderberry, complemented by subtle notes of aniseed and toasted oak. The tannins are present but balanced, contributing to a long, lingering finish.
VINTAGE CONDITIONS:
A dry, warm winter promoted good bud fruitfulness followed by a spring with limited frost concerns which meant overall vine health was excellent. January was hot and dry, tempered by a cool February that steadied ripening. Warm weather at harvest ensured full flavour development.
